All marketers are looking to increase their conversion rates.  By ‘conversation rates’, we mean converting someone from being a prospect into a lead or from being a lead into a sale.  This is extremely important because you’ve done the hard part of identifying and engaging with the prospect or lead, so you don’t want to fall at the last hurdle.
In this article for Social Media Examiner, Neil Patel describes 3 nice ways of using social media to increase your conversion rates.
Aspire Digital appreciates you don’t have as much time as you’d like to read articles of this nature, so here is the bullet point version:
1. Allow people to register for your website or app by using their login details for their social media channels like Facebook or Twitter.  By offering this facility more people will sign up for whatever you are offering because they can do it with one click, as opposed to having to enter their name and e-mail address.  Their login details for your website or app will then be the same as they have used for Facebook or Twitter.
2. Allow people to purchase an item from the shopping cart on your website using the same social login buttons referred to in point 1 above.  This reduces a phenomenon known as ‘shopping cart abandonment’.
3. Make it easy for your site visitors to share your content by placing ‘social sharing’ buttons on pages of your site that you’d like them to share with their friends.  There is no better form of advertising than a word-of-mouth recommendation and you can achieve this by making it as easy as possible for people to share your content.  Make sure you place Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn social share buttons on content you want people to share.
More detail on each of the above points is contained in the article itself but we hope this short summary gives you some pointers.
We, here at Aspire Digital, are always interested in any suggestions you might have about the types of tips or explanations you might require in relation to digital marketing, so feel free to share your thoughts with us.
